We believe clarity brings comfort – so here are the questions we’re asked most often, answered with care.

Cheshire has some of the most beautiful wedding venues in the North West. Peckforton Castle is one of the most iconic, sitting high on the sandstone ridge with views across the Cheshire Plain. Carden Park is a favourite for couples who want a classic country estate feel, while Nunsmere Hall and Rookery Hall both offer a more intimate manor house setting. Eaton Hall, home of the Duke of Westminster, is one of the grandest options in the county, and Combermere Abbey near Whitchurch is stunning for couples who want real historic character. For something a little different, Dorfold Hall near Nantwich and Mottram Hall near Prestbury are both genuinely special.

Cheshire offers an extraordinary range of portrait settings. The Cheshire Plain itself, with its wide skies and rolling farmland, is a beautiful backdrop at golden hour. Delamere Forest is popular for couples who want something wooded and natural. The canal towpaths around Nantwich and Whitchurch offer a quieter, more romantic setting. For something more architectural, the black and white timber framed buildings in Nantwich town centre and the market square in Sandbach are both distinctive and very Cheshire in character.

Yes, the Knutsford, Wilmslow, and Alderley Edge area is a core part of my Cheshire coverage. This part of Cheshire has some of the most sought after wedding venues in the region, including Mere Court Hotel, The Mere Golf Resort, and Stanneylands Hotel. Tatton Park is also one of the most stunning settings in the county for portraits, with the hall, the gardens, and the deer park all offering completely different backdrops within the same estate.

Yes, south Cheshire is a beautiful area for weddings. Combermere Abbey near Whitchurch, Dorfold Hall near Nantwich, and Baddeley Hall are all within my regular coverage area. Nantwich itself is one of the most photogenic market towns in Cheshire, with its medieval timber framed buildings and the beautiful Church of St Mary, which is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in the North West.

Yes, eastern Cheshire up towards Macclesfield and the Peak District foothills is a natural extension of my coverage area. Shrigley Hall near Macclesfield is a popular venue up here, and the landscape changes noticeably as you head east towards Bollington and Rainow, with more dramatic hills and moorland coming into view. The contrast between the Cheshire Plain and the eastern edge towards the Peaks gives couples a completely different feel in the landscape.

Yes, the Wirral Peninsula and the areas around Ellesmere Port are part of my regular coverage. Thornton Manor near Thornton Hough is one of the most popular and beautiful venues in this part of Cheshire, set in its own estate with a lake and walled gardens. The Wirral also has some lovely coastal settings, particularly around Heswall and West Kirby, for couples who want portraits with a view across the Dee Estuary towards the Welsh hills.

Several. Beeston Castle, perched dramatically on its sandstone crag above the Cheshire Plain, is one of the most striking backdrops in the county even though it is a ruin. The Cheshire countryside around Tarporley and Bunbury has a timeless, quintessentially English quality that photographs beautifully in any light. The ridge at Bickerton Hill offers a panoramic view across the whole of the Cheshire Plain that is hard to beat at sunset. For something more intimate, the villages of Aldford, Farndon, and Bunbury all have beautiful churches and village greens that feel completely removed from modern life.

Yes, Chester Racecourse is the most famous but there are other distinctive sporting and leisure venues across Cheshire that I have covered. The combination of open space, grandstand architecture, and the surrounding landscape gives a completely different feel to a more traditional venue.

Yes, and Cheshire is genuinely one of my favourite counties for engagement sessions because of the sheer variety. Tatton Park is a brilliant choice for couples who want something grand and open. Delamere Forest suits a more relaxed and natural feel. The canal network around Nantwich and Middlewich offers something quieter and more intimate. And the black and white villages of central Cheshire, particularly around Bunbury, Bickley Moss, and Peckforton, are some of the most picturesque spots in the whole of the North West.

Cheshire is genuinely beautiful throughout the year and each season has its own character. Spring brings the bluebells in Delamere Forest and the blossom across the county’s gardens and orchards. Summer gives you the long golden evenings that make outdoor portraits so special, particularly across the open Cheshire Plain. Autumn turns the parkland and woodland estates, especially around Tatton and Dunham Massey, into extraordinary colours. Even winter has its own magic in Cheshire, with frost across the fields and the half timbered buildings looking their best against a grey sky.

A wedding is not a photoshoot with a wedding attached to it. It is one of the most human days you will ever have – full of nerves, laughter, bad dancing, and the occasional very emotional uncle or parent. I am there for all of it.

My wedding photography style sits where fine art photography meets photojournalism – I want the pictures to be beautiful, but I want them to be true first. I move quietly through your day, dipping in and out of the crowd, and the only time you will really notice me is during the brief portraits after the ceremony.
